These vintage cotton tags make a unique piece of wearable history! When cotton was harvested and baled, it was stored at the local gin, and farmers were given a metal tag with a bale number or permit number so that the gin could keep track of which farmers owned which bales- and since cotton is highly flammable, the metal tags would withstand fire, should the gin burn down.
Cotton tags are on kodiak leather and fasten with two snaps.
